Mondos Beach Ventura Ca

3674 Pacific Coast Hwy Ventura, CA 93001 34.3213° N, 119.3755° W

Mondos Beach will quickly become a favorite for you to enjoy bach activities. With a great view of the Channel Islands in the background. They have a great water for swimming, surfing, paddle boarding, and kayaking. This beach is located in Ventura of Southern California with a great sandy beach and nice waves it makes an instant impression. The beach is accessible off the street with a small climb down the rocks or staircase shore to the ocean. On the weekends this beach can get a little busy with families and animals but it has enough room for everyone to spend the weekend at.

Parking: Parking has never personally been an issue. I have never had to leave because of not finding parking which can sometimes happen on the weekends or a sunny day. Something that I really appreciate about this beach is that there is no fee for parking. Parking is open on the street during normal daylight hours.

Amenities: There are no restrooms on this beach. There is also no seating or camping areas. Important to keep in mind if you intend to stay here all day or bring wanted to bring food.

Dog Friendly: This beach is also dog friendly although it is recommended that you keep your dog on a leash. There are always quite a few dogs there enjoying the sun.

Activities: Surfing is very popular on this beach! The natural coast provides decent waves for all levels of surfers. Paddle boarding and swimming are other popular activities for Mondos. While there is good surf here it does tend to get pretty crowded in the water on good days.

Environment: I have not seen much sea life at this beach not to say its not there. Nice and clean sandy beaches. With a great view of the Channel Islands.

Beach Day Essentials

I was packing up for a beach trip and was checking to see what others usually bring to the beach to make the most out of their trips, so I thought I'd what I usually bring to the beach and what products I think work best!

1. Towel/Beach Blanket
2. Water
3. Sunglasses & Hat
4. Sunscreen
5. Entertainment
6. Plastic Bags
7. Beach Bag

Depending upon my beach trips I bring more or less stuff. Usually if I'm going out for a whole day  trip I'll bring some snacks, cooler, chair, and body board. Quicker trips I just bring the essentials.

1. For my towel I usually use a thiner towel just to dry off or use as a pillow, and then a large beach blanket for lounging on.

2. Water is obviously super important to take to the beach not all beaches provide a water fountain or hose. I use my Hydroflask it stores just enough water for and is durable and heat resistant at the beach. (Tangelo Hydroflask 32oz wide mouth)

3. For sunglasses I don't have a specific brand I wear the ones I have I got at little beach shop at Stinson Beach in Northern California. They are really sturdy and are a great color for the beach. Also I love having hats at the beach for when I am not swimming because I like to braid my hair and it protects my scalp and face from burning.

4. I have very sensitive skin so I ONLY use Neutrogena on my face, but for the rest of my body I use Sun Bum, Neutrogena, or Hawaiian Tropic.

5. For entertainment I often just bring a volleyball or football, if it's just me I will bring a book to relax for a little in the sand.

6. Plastic Ziploc bags are crucial for me at the beach. I put my phone, electronics, money, and credit cards/license in there. It keeps the sand and water out and gives you easy access to those items when you need them.

7. For my beach bag I often use for a drawstring backpack or canvas tote that holds my stuff.

For longer beach trips I usually bring my cooler with some snacks and extra water. The cooler that I use was a gift to me and I love it!! It is the Pelican Cooler in Sea foam and Gray 30 quart.
